Willie our starting gate referee has received word of the loss of his son Robert “Joey” Joseph Wilson, 28, formerly of Taylorville,
gave his life in service to his country in the war in Iraq this weekend when he was killed by a roadside bomb in the
red zone of Baghdad. Because of his bravery 5 other soldiers’ lives were saved. His family was notified Sunday,
January 27th and awaits word from the military on the long journey home for the solider that will be transported from
Kuwait to Germany and then on to Japan before being returned to the states. Word has it that the military is
2 years behind on life insurance benefits to the families, because of this we are collecting donations
of the family to help off-set the expenses. If you would like to help Willie and his family donations
are being taken by: Keri McQuire, 861 E. 2300 North Road, Edinburg, Illinois 62531

I posted this on my sponsorhouse profile as well as a blog for everyone to see. I am going to try to get some support for donations. Every lap I compete in I will try to raise a dollar amount and donate it to the family. Basically what Todd Macke done at Texas for his fundraiser A.R.T. I will either do this for the entire season, or untill at least June/July. I am requesting that Rider Down accept the donations to be sent to the Wilson Family. If anyone may be able to help me set this up, please get back with me.

THANKS in advance!!!
