RDF Family:

I thought I would let you all know a little about my life. Today is a day that I have waited for for 6 years. Today is the day that my son, Michael completes his duty with the US Navy. He has spent the last 6 years going to school and then spending the last 4+ years as a Nuclear Engineer on the USS Hartford - a fast attack submarine. I can not put into words how proud I am of him. He left a 19 year old kid and will return a 25 year old man.

The best news is that he is my favorite riding partner. I asked him what he wanted to do when he got home. He just asked: "when is the next race?". I can't wait.

Thank a veteran this week!

Shawn,

That is awesome I am truly happy for all of you. To have him accomplish so much, to watch him mature into a fine young man and best of all to get him back home safe is truly a blessing. He has a very good name too!

Wishing you all the Best!

Joe

As it turns out, I was not able to make the trip to CT. My wife went instead. I have to sit at home and wait for them to arrive. I still plan to get up your way in the near future and ride with you.

Thanks to everyone else for the kind words.
