Thanks Everyone!

This is Hunter's First year racing. It came down to the last race of the season to see who would win overall. He was beat by a tire length in the first moto and about 2 bike lengths the 2nd moto. We are still very proud of him!!!

Hunter is 7 (AMA 6) and was competing in the 50cc oil injected class on a KTM Mini Adventure. He also raced 50cc Class 1 on a Polini X1 where he will finish either 3rd of 4th overall for the season.

Next year we'll be moving up to the 7-8 class, so he'll be working even harder.

Thanks again. I'm not sure how to post pictures. But when we have the end of the year banquet I'll get mommotox to post one for me with his 6ft trophy :)

Oh and just for giggles we put Hunter and his Dad Todd out there for the Father son race on Hunter's new 65 (which he's riden all of twice) and they finished 2nd. They ran 1 lap kids, swithed, adults ran 1 lap (same bike as kids) swtiched again etc for 4 laps. Hunter never got out of 3rd the whole race (still figuring out the clutch), while the Dad's spent all their energy trying to stay on the bike and taking out the Dad next to them. Now that is some entertainment!

I've seen a couple of father/son races and even participated in one. My son and I had just a wee advantage since we both race CRF250's. We took it easy on all the teams on the little bikes and had a BLAST!!! One big ol' dad was actually riding a 50!:yikes I sure wish I had that race on video.
It's very cool to read about fathers riding with their sons.:thumb

They had so many people wanting to race in the father/son race that they had to break it down to two groups. The first group was 65s and under and then the second group was the big bikes. It worked out pretty well and the little guys weren't put in any danger..... well except from the dad's who couldn't seem to stay up an entire lap :)

I think after that some of the dad's will be taking it a little easier on their kids :)

Thanks! Hunter (and mom and dad) is extremely excited to have been picked for Anaheim 1. We can't wait to go and from what I hear, it's an experience he will never forget.
