It is with great sadness that I have to post this news.

Jakob Lathery, who is AKA jakob_Rebel on our website passed away on Wednesday. He was a very inspirational young man. He was injured in a MX accident 7 years ago leaving him a paraplegic. He never quit. He went through numerous surgeries and finally was able to get off of his respirator. Every time I spoke with him, he was upbeat and was looking to the future. He was planning to go to school and do become self sufficient.

I just got off of the phone with Tonya Dawson, who is Jakob's mom. She told me that instead of flowers at Jakob's funeral, they will ask for donations to the RiderDown Foundation.

It is amazing, even in his death Jakob is helping others.

Please say a prayer for Jakob and his family.

Jakob_Rebel may you Rest in Peace. It was certainly an honor to work with someone as inspirational as yourself. I wish we had more time and had the opportunity to meet in person. Thank you for everything.

Heart wrenching.:cry: I'm quite certain we will add Jacob to the list for next year's GMB Memorial Race.
I am truly inspired by those gracious individuals who keep that positive attitude through a life-altering injury.

Godspeed Jakob, enjoy your ride with the rest of our family members that have left us too early, I bet the riding is sweet.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Jakob's Family and Friends.
