This past Saturday I was lucky enough to attend the R2R National ride day in Ohio. This was Road to recovery's fundraiser for the AMSF. (Amateur Mobile Safety Foundation) I got to meet and work with Chuck Baldwin and his wife Kristy. Which by the way, are two of the nicest people you could ever meet.

There were also several raffles and races dedicated to one of our injured riders, Vince Karnow. RiderDown teamed up with Ktm North America ,and the people of Amherst meadowlarks to raise nearly $400 for Vince and his recovery.

I also met Drew (sorry I can't remember your last name). Drew raced the adaptive class and brought in the most amount of money and pledges. Drew was able to complete 75 laps on his "Parma Dave" custom bike. Drew has a spinal cord injury. Hopefully will be joining our forum and sharing with us.

I just want to say thank you to everyone who attended and made me feel right at home. A special thanks to the Schlacht family for working there butts off getting this event ready. They did an awesome job. Sadly, their son fractured his tib-fib during the event. Heal up quick Cody !

Lastly, thank you to Lowell Anderson of Ktm North America Hard parts. This guy brought all the latest and coolest swag for the auctions and raffles. :thumb
Lowell was also my photographer. I left my camera at home on the charger.

Your very own Volunteer Coordinator and Vince Karnow.... :D

Awesome!! Thanks to everyone who helped pull this together, it sounds like it was a great day and really turned out well. RiderDown has been pulling for Vince and his recovery since day one after his injury and it's great to see him doing so well. :thumb

Working together with Lowell Anderson & KTM is an honor and we are extremely thankful for their support. They have been amazing in their compassion for the welfare and interests of the amatuer rider. We are in full support of the AMSF and we will do whatever we can to assist them in their efforts to bring state of the art medical services to the off-road community. R2R and it's mission are obviously important to the sport and RiderDown hopes to work with them whenever possible to bring awareness & support to the needs of injured riders. Thanks Chuck!

More pictures PLEASE!
