I have been in the market for another Dual Sport kit for a number of weeks for my '03 525MXC Having a Baja Designs kits on my other bikes, I thought there had to be something easier to install. I contacted Dale at:

Angel Scientific Products, Inc.
33125 Big Springs Road
Acton, CA 93510
661-268-1094

He recommended his mini kit along with a UFO rear fender with the integrated turn indicators. I was going to be in the area and he said to stop by the shop and he would install the kit for me. How's that for service!

I arrive and we proceed to tear into my bike. Off goes the tank, side panels and flywheel cover (I chose to have the full DC mod done i.e. floating the ground)

We talked about about his design and how it worked all the while he's digging into my stator, soldering a couple of wires. One of the neat features of this kit is that it allows for a GPS to be hooked up to the plug on the side of the control panel. It also tells you how many volts you're running with the color coded led lights on the face of the panel. The whole system is super light and adds minimal weight to the front end.
Allows three different modes of operation: 5W daylight headlight, Full power headlight and off (no headlight). All the other functions such as turn signal, horn, rear running light and brake light all remain functional in two of the three modes. Fully independent operation of all functions with the engine OFF! Cool idea.

After a short pause, and more bench racing we head back to the bike to finish the install. Everthing went together smoothly and a perfect fit. Lights, turn indicator, stop light and horn worked the very first try. Total time for install (excluding tour) was about 1 hr - as advertised.

I torture tested it last weekend on a 150 mile trail ride, mostly in the rain. It worked like it should with no problems whatsoever.

If you are in the market for a DS kit. Run - do not walk over to the phone and order yours now.

I call honestly say the Dale and his wife are 1st class all the way.

Nice write up Art! I need to replace the headlight, mask, computer/odometer and have been considering a higher output light setup. I'd also like to run a GPS unit (haven't begun that research yet). Sounds like I should talk with Dale and get his take on it. My bike is already plated & I don't need the blinkers, I do have the rear brake light switch installed.

Sounds & looks like a nice kit & great service.

Thanks for the info.
