THE JULIA LYNN II
2007 Husqvarna TC 510

Featured at the exhibit will be a fully restored 1967 Husqvarna 360 exactly as
Malcolm and JN raced to victory 40 years ago. It features a Triumph 4.5 gallon tank
modified to fit the bike and Lucas / BSA Victor 441 headlights which barely worked
(then and now!). It will be on display side-by-side with a 2007 Husqvarna TC-510,
demonstrating 40 years of technology advancement through racing in the Baja 1000.
Both bikes will be auctioned off at the end of the year with the proceeds to benefit the three RFL charities -- The Malcolm Smith Motorsports Foundation (MSMF), The Scleroderma Foundation, and The Lance Armstrong Foundation. Also on display will be a baja race buggy from the legendary McMillin Racing family, a Kawasaki KR 500 used by Larry Roeseler and his teammates (who will all be in attendance), and 1X, the last factory Honda XR 650 ever raced in Baja by Johnny Campbell and his teammates. Show your support for these charities by showing up and having a great time. You will be helping the orphans at El Oasis (MSMF) and the fight to find a cure for Scleroderma and Cancer.

Men-Moment-Machine -- Malcolm and JN Roberts to Ride
Again!

Offroad racing legends, Malcolm Smith and JN Roberts, 2-wheel winners of the first
Baja 1000 40 years ago have agreed to join the Racing For Life crew and compete
in this year's 40th anniversary running of the Tecate SCORE Baja 1000. This rare
moment in history has been made possible through a year of planning and fund
raising for the three RFL Charities, The Malcolm Smith Motorsports Foundation,
The Scleroderma Foundation and The Lance Armstrong Foundation. Starting in
December, Malcolm told Team Captain JIm Filanc if he obtained a sponsor to race
in this year's race, Malcolm would allow the team to be called the Malcolm Smith
Motorsports Racing For Life Offroad Team. By virtue of the sponsorship deal
inked in April with Sunstar and Help from Husqvarna USA, Jim got back with
Malcolm, leading to the recent announcement between Malcolm Smith Motorsports
and Racing For Life. The resuit is The Malcolm Smith Motorsports / Sunstar
Racing For Life Offroad Team.

In February, Jim contacted JN Roberts at his home in Montana. After striking up a
phone friendship, one thing led to another and JN agreed to join Jim and the RFL
crew to compete in this year's race. When Jim shared this development with
Malcolm, Malcolm though about it, then said, "I think we can make this happen."
After discussing the possibility with his wife, Joyce, Malcolm said yes to leading off
the race from Tijuana. History was made . . . again!

Forty years later and both men will be competing on a Husqvarna again. WOW!. Both men will be at the grand opening of the special exhibit on August 29, 2007 to swap stories, and renew old friendships with their peers -- the past overall winners of the Tecate SCORE Baja 1000. This elite group of 74 living history-making men will be gathered together for the first time in history to meet the public and
remember the "good 'ol days!" It should be a day in history to remember!
