Thanks for the the update.
As always,
Ride Safe
RiderDown Foundation
Here are Zachary Lee’s July/August results, and Rylan’s first race results.
For Zach, there were just 2 race events, but he raced 3 classes in each. Zach’s 65 racing career has really begun, and his 50 days are about to be over… In an effort to help Zach with the transition to 65s, he has been working with Bobby Fitch, Colorado’s #1 local pro. Bobby has helped Zach a lot, and we are starting to see it come through in his racing.
Date Event Class Finish
2007-08-12 E Racing at Berthoud 50cc 4 - 8 8
2007-08-12 E Racing at Berthoud 50cc 7 - 8 6
2007-08-12 E Racing at Berthoud 65cc 7 - 9 11
2007-07-08 IMI at Erie 65cc 7 - 9 13
2007-07-08 IMI at Erie 50cc 4 - 8 5
2007-07-08 IMI at Erie 50cc 7 - 8 6
Rylan’s 50cc career has just begun! If all goes as planned, she’ll be racing 50s for the next 4 seasons! Her first race was August 12th at Berthoud. She raced Class 1 and had an overall finish of 6th. She could not have been happier, and we could not have been more proud!
The next several weekends will be busy! Our season wraps up on October 7th, and we’ve got 4 races between now and then.
Thank you for your support of Zachary and Rylan’s racing! We hope to continue this relationship for many seasons to come.
Sincerely,
Kim Lee for Zachary and Rylan Lee

We really need to "Sponsor" these two.....
Last week at the Amateur Nationals, at Freestone, Bailey came 8th overall and Hudson came 3rd overall, in class.
This week in Tyler, Hudson ran 8 races in 90 plus degree temps and came 4th overall. Bailey came 3rd overall.
Hudson is 6 and Bailey is 10.....
Hudson rides a KTM Senior 50 and they made him race against the 7 and 8 year olds.
That's my Grandkids.....Yeah I'm proud of them.
There's two more on the way up.....Ryder is only 2 and Stevie Addison is 6 months.
Their Dad, Joel, named the racing team after his youngest brother, the grandkids uncle, Stevie AKA MiniRocketman.....The Grandkids are so proud to be racing in his memory.
Maybe we need to do some "officiall" RDF Rider jerseys that we can all wear in public to further the cause.

Thanks Joe!:)
We are getting back into things now that we have settled in Texas. The boys are pumped to be back in the saddle doing what they love most, sitting on the line and waiting for the gate to drop.
Art, I will get the boys race resume's in order and get you the info you require for sponsorship. We are at Cycle Ranch this weekend and then Lake Whitney at the end of the month. The boys are so excited to be considered for sponsorship of the RDF race team.

hey Bruce,
Again, I would like to thank RDF for officially sponsoring Bailey and Hudson. They are sooo excited!! We raced our first Round of the AMA Honda of Houston/ FMF Texas Winter Series in early December and man was it stacked with talented mini riders. Close to full gates in all mini classes. I am glad to say I was very pleased that both Bailey and Hudson squeezed inside the top 10! Bailey was 9th in 65cc SR and Hudson 10th in the 50ccc 4-9 open. It seemed a lot of the very fast Northern United States riders headed south for this first round at the Freestone amature track. I can only imagine what we will see at the next round on the Freestone National Track (Jan 5/08), then Oak Hill (Jan 25th), and finishing off at Lake Whitney on Feb 23rd. We are considering riding the Dallas AMA Toyota arenacross in January (Let me know if you think if in some way we could do an RDF pit booth promotion??), also we will be racing in the Austin, TX round of the Orielly's Arenacross series in Feb... as you can see we are up for a busy start to the 08 season and RDF will be well represented!

I have to say, Zach and Rylan's current racing is nill. All tracks are snow covered!
=(
However, we are looking forward to kicking off the season in February/March. The kids are anxious to get out riding again...as soon as we can get on a track, we'll be out there practicing. Zach is really starting to look forward to the Arenacross in March!!
As soon as I have updates and new pictures, I will post them, I promise!

Honestly - we apologize for the delay in posting some info & pics here. We've been under the gun with some web administration issues. It's all good though. Stay tuned!! :D

Mini Rocketman Racing Report:
This weekends race was Round 2 of the AMA FMF Honda of Houston Texas Winter Series held at Freestone on the National Pro Track. It was also the first event in 2008 for Bailey and Hudson Plouffe riding for Team RDF.
I will post some pics soon as I get them in. I found one of Hudson with RDF stickers visible. Follow link. http://www.photofinale.com/ladywithcamera/members/Suzanna/albums/6876493/newest/1-30/28320458/view.aspx
Bailey ended up 11th in the open 65cc 6-11 class and Hudson 13th in the 7-9 class 50cc. This was the overalls! By far this is the toughest series we have ever seen, all the kids are lightning fast and the tracks are rough and tough. Bailey Blew up his lower bearing on the NEW 08 KX race bike in Practice and was forced to run his Practice RM in the race. There had to be qualifiers for the 65cc class moto one with so many kids. Bailey finished in 6th in moto 1 so no consi and was off to moto 2 and with a full gate of 40 he finished 12th in the final. I (DAD) am still exhausted!
Next race/round is at Oak Hill at the end of the month.
best regards,
Joel Plouffe

In what turned out to be a personal best performance, Les Walker got a 10th place finish in the Best In The Desert Epic Racing Parker 250 in the Ironman class. His average speed for the race was 40mph...that's over 160 miles of Nevada desert in 4 hours. Les finished only 26 minutes behind a local racer who knows this course like the back of his hand, quite an accomplishment in my book.
Way to go Les!

Can't you just see the adrenalin pumping through Les's body.....
Great job Les.
I think Les's secret weapon may be the Duct taped boots or maybe the 5'o clock shadow.
Les looks the part of a desert racer doesn't he?

Ethan traveled to Pikeville, KY for AX last weekend and ended up with a 7th place finish in the 65 7-9 and a 4th place finish in the 85 7-11 class. WOO HOO ! This weekend is his last AX race. We will be headed to North Carolina ! Sunshine here we come ! (its 65 degrees there today !)
Ethan says it would be really nice to have some of those trailer graphics like those other boys. Wow, they have pretty cool fender stickers too ! :D
I guess mom is going to have to call Bart at PG. :thumb
