Freestone County Raceway could not be happier to announce that James “Outlaw” Marshall #452 will be in attendance September 1st and 2nd at the AMA Motocross National at Freestone County Raceway in Wortham, Texas! James was injured on February 11, 2006 at the AMA Supercross in San Diego, California. Since then, James has kept all of his old fans and gained many new ones with his positive attitude and perseverance throughout his ordeal. He continues to show incredible drive and optimism. All things that made him a great racer!

James can’t wait to see all the people that have stuck by him since his accident in February of 2006. James said, “I’m so excited and can’t wait to see all of my friends at the MX National race at Freestone!”

In addition, James wants to send a special shout out of thanks to Freestone Raceway for their hospitality. Freestone was one of the last tracks in Texas he competed at when James took home part of the $15,000 Pro purse at the Bookoo Fall Classic in November, 2005 against the likes of Zach Osborne, Jeff Dement, Erick Vallejo and others. Other special thanks go to Mark Broussard of Houston Motorsports and RiderDown Foundation for helping him make this trip possible.

Cow Bells in Texas
- press release-
Wortham, Texas (August 28, 2007) - On June 5, 1988, history was frozen when the last AMA Motocross National was held in Texas. This coming Labor Day weekend, a new chapter is about to commence. The Monster Energy Freestone Motocross National presented by Yamaha and Berkey's comes to Freestone County Raceway, September 1-2, 2007.

So everyone can hear the Lone Star state and its fans, a limited edition COW BELL will be on sale during this historic event. "We want the riders to know that the fans are excited about the nationals coming to Texas" said Tony Miller (Promoter of Freestone). Miller followed by saying, "the riders, television and internet audience should be able to feel the energy that comes with such great fans as they embrace the AMA Toyota Motocross Championship at Freestone."

With the stage set for one of the tightest points battles in the history of the sport, Freestone adds a new element to the series since no rider has seen, nor rode the track in any official capacity. Saturday's practice will quite possible be the most important practice of the 2007 season.

The one-of-a-kind COW BELL will be available once this new facility is introduced to the public. An official ribbon cutting ceremony hosted by the local Chamber of Commerce is set for 7am on Saturday.
