Tomorrow begins a riding odyssey I've planned for 4 years - - - The Trans-America Trail. If you've never heard of it, check out www.transamtrail.com .
Tomorrow I'm taking my 950 to my riding buddy's house. There, we'll put my bike in his pickup and his bike on a trailer. He'll then drive them to Texas where he has a house. In 9 days I'll fly out to meet him there. Then we ride up to Braman OK to pick up the trail. About 14 days and 3,000 miles of dirt later we should be looking at the Pacific ocean in Port Orford, OR.
I've spent the last few days prepping the bike and adding the necessary accessories and gear for the trip.
Here's what the bike looked like stock: PIC (http://picasaweb.google.com/tonygasper/950/photo#5038134978368428354)
And here's the battle-ready version: PIC (http://picasaweb.google.com/tonygasper/TransAmTrail/photo#5081568732090706658) (Notice the front fender sticker :thumb )
This MAP (http://picasaweb.google.com/tonygasper/TransAmTrail/photo#5081568706320902866)gives you a basic idea of the ground we'll cover.
It's going to be GREAT! :thumb
