For father's day this year my wonderful wife Linda encouraged me to join 5 of my closest riding buddies on a weekend ride in New Mexico.....We left the 95 degree Texas sun on Friday afternoon in the truck and Saturday morning found us riding our bikes on the New Mexico dirt. We started at 3000 feet and by the end of the day we were at 9000 feet.
It was cold and raining and there were hail stones beating our bodies but we didn't care.....We spent the night in Cloudcroft, NM.
Next morning we were up at the crack of dawn and rode down the mountains and through the desert back to our trucks.....
We rode 300 miles of great dirt roads and trails and also put 1000 miles on the trucks....
We were home by 10:30 pm on Sunday!!!!
No, I'm not sure why I deserve her either.....

Two weekends ago I called Linda, after I was riding all day in Mexico, to wish her a happy 25th anniversary and let her know we'd be careful riding the next day in West Texas....

Trust me a wife that does understand you is a real blessing....

Pedicures or bon bons just don't do it for me....

I can't top rocketman's post. Well, unless you consider being single a blessing.(and I do):D I drove my dad(and mom), and my son to my sister and bro-in-law's house for Father's Day. We dads got some pretty cool gifts and a FANTASTIC meal. It rained most of the day so riding was out anyway.:roll: The rain is really cramping our style here in Oklahoma! I think we're about to bust loose and have a genuine MUD RIDE!
