As of this morning this sight only had 66 registered users. That number should be much higher. As members we need to do something to spread the word. Many of you will be traveling to nationals this year and other highly attended races. I emailed Bruce this morning requesting a flyer with the Rider Down Logo that I could hand out at the BooKoo race this weekend in PA. These guys have put in many man hours to make this foundation possible and I know that if and when something happens to my son on the track I wouldnt feel very comfortable asking for help unless I knew in my heart that I had done everything possible to help promote this fine organization. Just my .02 :D

Thanks Guys!

My son has just started his Arenacross season so im pretty excited :) Im also a "Stay at home MiniMom" right now with alot of time on her hands *L* I like to keep busy! We have a big event coming up in Feb. "Motorama". it is in Harrisburg, PA. I beleive you can access it by Motorama.com or arenacross.com. Anyway ive been trying to think how I can promote and possibly make "RiderDown" some money that weekend. It not only draws the MX crowd but freestyle, trials ,RC, karts etc. At some of these events there is always someone selling t-shirt out of a "Huge" duffel bag (but is it legit)? I know I could get some microphone time*L* to get some recognition....any ideas?? They do a Spina Bif. charity event maybe we could barter??? Donate something for airtime???

Thanks Guys

Angie that would be an aweome opportunity! Lots of possibilities - let's kick it around some. Maybe advertise the PhoneFund in advance & collect them at the event? We just designed some new flyers/posters that would be great to get out there. We need to come up with more swag!

Hello everyone, I have been in contact with Bruce about this event. I have been given "FREE" and total access to this event by the Motorama president. He does alot of work with several charities and loves what you guys are doing. He is 75 years old and he raced for 52 of them. So with everyones permission I would love to represent the "Riderdown". Are the new fliers ready??? I also will be donating to the charity auction and giving a speech (I dont know about this) in front of thousands of people....LOL Anyway if anyone wants to donate something small (autographed pics/posters or anything really) email me for my address. Also if anyone has any concerns about my representation dont be afraid to contact me.

Thanks,
Angie

Great job Angie! No worries about the speech - you'll do fine. And congratulations on being the first Ms. RiderDown! I'm sure the guys will send you your official RiderDown crown complete with duct tape and dirtbike parts soon. LOL! Seriously - I think what you have done/are doing for RiderDown is wonderful and I know the guys appreciate it.

Hi Angie

If there is anything from the Pacific Northwest that I can do, please let me know. I'd be happy to share how RiderDown has helped with tragedy up here and how great these guys are to work with.

I agree that each of us need to do our part to make this organization as HUGE as it should be.

Please feel free to email me at bristlin94@msn.com and we can share ideas.

Thanks.
Dawn Bristlin :)

Angie,

Sounds like you have them ready and willing, Great going.

On the speaking part, it is something that makes me awfully nervous too. If I have to get up and talk about myself I really have a hard time because I feel people are judging me but if I'm talking about a passion, a belief, something greater than myself then I know it's not about me, how I talk, how I may mess up it's about helping others and that's what they are going to be thinking of because most of them like us have been there. So be calm and cool and we'll be standing their right next to you in spirit. Oh, and I'm sure you'll get your chance to watch us one of these days and you'll wonder what you had to worry about when you see me stumbling and bumbling through one  .

Good Luck,

Joe

Hi Angie,

I thought about you often this weekend. I wasn't worried at all but I was feeling the butterflies I would have had if i was doing it.

I hope you had a great time, thanks for all your help.

By the way, already we have had a couple of contact request come in due to the event, so good going!

Look forward to hearing from you.

I had my grandson take one of the flyers I was sent up to the announcer at the Budd's Creek Qualifiers this weekend and he announced several times Saturday and Sunday. We had 7 people flown out on Sunday alone. Hopefully some of them heard the announcements.

Hi Lee Ann,

Good to hear from you and thanks for getting the flyers out.

I'm just getting back up to speed after being in Daytona for the SX race this past weekend, had a great time.

Last weekend sounded like a tough weekend across the country, lot's of injuries reported. It can spoil a fun day at the track fast.

That's why they need all of us out there helping to guide them through this rough time.

Keep up the good work,

Joe

Hi everyone,

Wearing RiderDown shirts and wristbands is a great way to get the word out also, especially if you wear them to an event. If you want to be able to have a supply of flyers for an event too, let us know. We could email the file for you to print them or send some already printed. Please email info@riderdown.org to let us know if you would be interested in doing something like that.

Thanks,
Amy
