We got an email from a friend of Tim Jones this past week. Tim was riding by himself in the dessert near his house. He was returning from Jawbone Canyon. He crashed in the evening and sustained serious injuries. He broke his back a number of ribs and punctured a lung. The tough part is that he is paralyzed from the waist down. He was not found until the next day. He survived all night in the dessert in 35 degree temps. He told me that he was pretty bummed laying there thinking about what was in front of him, but that all changed when he saw his wife and children. He now knows that he has every reason not to give up.
He was referred to us by Danny "Magoo" Chandler. We have a special gift going to Tim. I hope he likes dirt and sweat.
I spoke with Tim on the phone on Monday and I was shocked how upbeat he was. We started talking bikes and riding and the next thing I knew it was over an hour later. He sound like a great guy and seems like the type of guy you would love to go riding with.
