I had the good fortune to ride the Missouri National Enduro on April 29. It is always impressive to see the top National Pro's go ripping through the trees. It is just as impressive to see how cool the top riders are to their fans. I had the opportunity to talk to all of the top three riders. I rode on a row with Wally Palmer. AT the beginning of each test he was just gone in a cloud of smoke and dust. I met Russell Bobbitt for the first time and I must say he is a really nice young man. The final results showed Russell and 7 time National Champ, Mike Lafferty tied on points at 20 and Mike winning on the Tiebreakers.

I have had the pleasure of talking to Mike on a number of occasions before and this time I wanted to talk to him about RiderDown. I told him about our mission and he was genuinely interested in helping us. I gave him a wrist band and much to my surprise he put it on. He told me to stop by his rig after the race and he would give me some stuff to give to injured riders.

After the race he collected his winnings and I met him at his rig. The first thing he told me that he was bummed because he had broken his wrist band during the race. I gave him another and took a picture of him wearing it. He also gave me about 20 signed posters and then gave me his muddy, sweaty and torn jersey from the race which he signed. He also gave me another jersey. I think I know just the guy to get one of these jerseys.

I also stopped by 8 time National Champ Dick Burleson's rig and introduced him to RiderDown. He gave me 2 signed jerseys to give out.

Both of these riders and all of the national guys are just great ambassadors to our sport. It really makes me proud to be part of of road motorcycling. If you want to check out the results, go to blackjackenduro.com and click on the results page.

That is awesome Shawn, the offroad riders are definitely more down to earth and approachable. We have met Dick Burleson a few times and he is a real kick.

Very nice job!

Here is one of Lafferty and Burleson at the starting line, Daytona Alligator Enduro 2007
