I found this poem on Elmer Symons site (www.elmee.com) and thought it might also provide some comfort here. Thanks again Elmer! Hope your still "keepin' it on one wheel".......Godspeed Brother.

Death is nothing at all.
I have only slipped away into the next room.
I am I, and you are you.
Whatever we were to each other, that we still are.
Call me by my old familiar name,
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Put no difference in your tone,
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed,
At the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Pray, smile, think of me, pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word.
It always was, let it be spoken without effect,
Without the trace of a shadow on it.
Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same as it ever was;
There is unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
I am waiting for you, for an interval,
Somewhere very near, just round the corner.
All is well.

That is really good. Thanks for posting it.

I just came from a friends memorial service. They spread his ashes on the MX track that he started and ran for 25+ years. Those were his final wishes.

I was feeling kind of down, so I went and bought a new bike.

Life is short - Do it NOW!

Nice poem Bruce. One thing I truly believe, actually I know it. Regardless of any religious preference all of us - one day will loose our physical life BUT our spirit and soul will live forever. They go on eternally.

For those of us who lost someone special - they will live forever in our hearts. I have always said that success is not measured by a W2 form, but rather by what those who know us say about us when we are not around.
