RiderDown Foundation Racing Sponsorship Guidelines

Sponsorship Guidelines
The RiderDown Foundation would love to be able to help each and every rider in need of sponsorship, but that is unfortunately not possible. We have established the following set of criteria to help determine if you qualify for a RiderDown sponsorship.
If you meet these criteria and would like to apply, please follow the instructions below to be considered for our program. Please remember that you are not guaranteed sponsorship if you meet the general criteria - this is an application process, and you will be contacted only if you are selected. Please do not call to follow up on your application/race resume. We have limited space on our sponsorship roster and limited resources to share, and although we may not currently have an available slot for you, we will keep your information on file and may contact you at a later date.
Please note – the RiderDown Foundation does not offer cash sponsorships.

RDF Sponsored Rider Criteria;
• You have medical insurance that covers organized racing.
• You must be a rider who regularly participates in races or charity rides.
• You must be willing to actively promote RiderDown Foundation.
• You must keep in contact with us, letting us know what events you are participating in, and sending us a note or e-mail with any significant race results.
• If you have a website, we ask that you contact our webmaster for a link to your website, preferably with your logo. We will also ask for the RiderDown logo & link to be prominently displayed on your website.
• If you have race or ride photos or videos, we ask that you share them with RiderDown Foundation, and that you allow us to feature them on our website and /or newsletter at our discretion.
• You must be at least 14 years of age, and have permission from your parent or legal guardian to race if you are less than 18 years of age.
• You must live and ride/race in the United States.

You may be disqualified from the sponsorship program if you:
• Act in any criminal manner.
• Have substandard school grades.
• Willfully misrepresent RiderDown Foundation in any way.
• Act in any way that is detrimental to fellow racers, fans, promoters, track officials and RiderDown Foundation and it’s volunteer’s.

How To Apply:
Send an up-to-date race-resume, names of any other sponsors, current school report card, head shot photo, action photo, events in which you have participated, dates, locations, category and placing (if applicable), to: bod@riderdown.org
Incomplete applications will not be considered for approval.

Please do not just send a link to your race results - make the effort of at least cutting and pasting this information into a document or e-mail so it is readily accessible. Your resume can be a separate Microsoft Word or Acrobat pdf attachment or it can be included in the body of your e-mail.
Let us know why we should consider you as unique among the many other riders who contact us regarding sponsorship opportunities. What will you do to spread the word about RiderDown Foundation? And what will you expect from us in return? Remember, the more you can do to help us spread the word about RiderDown Foundation, the more likely it is that we will be able to help you with a sponsorship.
Be aware that we are less concerned about your race results than we are about what kind of a representative you will be for RiderDown Foundation. We would prefer to sponsor a consistent mid-pack finisher who is enthusiastic and positive about promoting RiderDown Foundation and website, and is a good ambassador for the sport, than a top finisher, but whose behavior is negative and unsportsmanlike.
We look forward to hearing from you. The summer riding season is here and we are excited about working together. Remember - have fun, take care and ride safe!

The RiderDown Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping responsible off road motorcyclists and atv racers who have been injured while riding. Proceeds are used to provide assistance to the riders and their families when faced with medical expenses and related issues.

RiderDown Foundation welcomes two new sponsored riders from CO.
ZNR Racing
Zach and Rylan Lee

http://www.riderdown.org/forum/photopost/data/500/ZNR_composite.jpg

Zachary Lee is relatively new to racing (he only raced the last half of the 2006 season), but in this
short time, he has shown a great deal of enthusiasm, determination, and sportsmanship. On race
days, Zachary wakes up before the alarms, which are usually going off at around 3 a.m. He gets
himself dressed in his gear, and is practically waiting at the door for Mom and Dad. Once we get
to the track, the first thing he says is "Can I ride"? In fact, when he was at a Donnie Hansen camp
last May, one of the other participants told him he should be in the Honda commercial saying "I
wanna ride"!

Each and every race, Zachary is determined to go out on the track and do his best. As everyone
knows, some days are better than others, but he gets out there and tries his best. In fact, even
when he crashes, he gets up and finishes every single race. And, every single race, he comes off
the track with a huge smile on his face. Every time we get home from the races, he asks when
the next one is.

Zachary cares about other kids and worries about those he has seen fall. If he sees someone
crash, his first question after the race is asking if they are OK. He befriends everyone he can at
the track - our motto is "Friends off the track, competitors on the track." He knows this is how we
as a family feel, and he lives by it.

Zach is just starting in racing, and he is not yet in the top of his class. However, he continues to
try his best and improve with every single race. He takes suggestions to heart, and goes out there
and tries to put the advice to work in the next race.

In addition to being a fun and enthusiastic racer, Zachary excels in school. He just finished the 2nd grade, and received excellent marks and comments from his teacher. Zachary knows that if his grades aren't kept up, he will not race, so he has all of the motivation he needs to keep them high. His teachers are very fond of him, as he respects them, and treats them to his sense of humor on a regular basis.

Zach lives, eats, and breathes motocross, and he talks about it to anyone who will listen. His main race bike is a 2007 KTM 65SX.

Rylan Lee has recently started riding her 2006 KTM 50SX Junior on tracks and trails around Colorado. As
she gains confidence, knowledge, and skill, Rylan will become a racer. In fact, her first race is
tentatively scheduled for July 1, 2007 at Milliken.

Like her brother, Rylan eats, sleeps, and breathes Motocross. Her favorite rider is Ricky
Carmichael. She actually invited him to her birthday party last year, when she met him at an
autograph signing prior to Thunder Valley.

In addition to motorcycling, Rylan is a yellow belt in karate and has played two years of soccer.
Her competitive streak has been showing up a lot lately, making her a top scorer on her team,
with nine goals in just one game!

Rylan recently graduated from pre-school, and is anxiously awaiting Kindergarten…teachers
beware!

Ever consider lowering the sponsor age to 10? Andy already has the RDF spirit. and we are seriously thinking about becoming volunteers at local events (South Western Ohio area) we are aquainted with a large part of the local "Mini" comunity.
