well as some of you know Robbie went down on the start of Atlanta main. He missed a gear and got going to only ram into Preston and cartwheel down the start a few times. he got up and walked away, but in extreme pain. His bike was all bent up and a broken hub, so he couldn't remount.. He then goes to the mobile medic unit at the track and he said he was afraid to take his boot off..when he did they said without a doubt his little toe was broken maybe the one next to it too. ( He has to have a follow up to confirm everything) BUT then all the sudden he had blood dripping from the bottom side of his toe. He basically compund broke his toe. They put 6-8 stitches in there and i saw it today...OUCH...They said literally he nearly cut or ripped or blew his toe off. Still not sure how it happened. He will be sitting out a few weekends now..so say a few prayers for him for a fast recovery. He will still be ging to St. Louis to sign autographs and cheer on his team mate. I will also be there..so hope to see some of you there.

Glad though that is the extent of the injures, Hpe to see him soon on the track.

All I can say is OOOOUUUUCCCCHHHH! I know what is like to break those toes. Not much can be done except for time. I still have a little problem with one, no biggie but still bugs me a little from time to time.

My guess is when he cartwheeled down the track his foot went into the wheel that got the broken hub.

That just stinks !! I will pray that Robbie has a fast recovery. I broke a toe in two places. It was the closest thing to childbirth I had ever experienced !! :shock:

Tell him we are thinking about him.

That crash looked horrible! We were watching from the press box and it was crazy. We didnt think he was going to get up and walk away after the looks of that one. It was so nice to see him get up and walk, limping or not.

agree that is what all of us are saying..with his crash it could have been sooo much worse...but he just got back form the Dr. and they said he crushed his entire toe. Robbie saw the x-rays and said there was a little stub of bone and then you could see all the little pieces of bone up the rest. He will be in St. Louis this weekend..WATCHING.

Cherie - OUCH!!! :shock: I replayed that start/crash a bunch of times, man I'm glad it was "just" a toe! Tell Robbie to heal quick. Sorry to see that happen after such an awesome AX season. We look forward to seeing him on the bike again soon.

Since he won't be needing any Anti Monkey Butt Powder for a while maybe he just needs to sport his RiderDown gear! :wink:

Thanks for the update, I was wondering how he was doing after seeing that crash, man that was scary looking. I agree, he is lucky it was not much worse. But still having an injury like that to his toes is going to be awfully painful and can be somewhat slow healing.

Best of luck Robbie!!! I agree with Tatonka, you would sure look good in a RiderDown Tshirt and would be one of the first well respected top MX pro to proudly wear it and show your support to all your riding fan's.

I was so bummed to see Robbie crash. Bruce replayed it a few times to try to figure out what happen. All I could say was OUCH! I hope he heals fast and is back out there as soon as he is ready. Please let him know we're all thinking of him.
