Just received a call from Steve Dumond concerning our friend Dave Robertson. Many of you Florida riders know Dave as number 45 on the Suzuki that riders the +45 and +40 classes. He was injured today at Pax Trax along the back section with all the tabletops. It appears he got crossed rutted and was thrown off the bike. In the process he suffered a C5 and C6 injury. He at this time has no feelings mid-chest down. He is currently in Halifax Medial Center in Daytona you can send him an email at health.line@hmc.halifax.org in the subject line put his name Dave Robertson. Here is a photo of Dave at Gatorback round 1 of the Winter -Am. Please pray for Dave and his family.

Dave has just came out of surgery - now it is the "wait and see". The doctors were able to stabilize his C5 and C6 by placing a plate and screws in his spine and remove the hematoma from his spine.

Dave,

I know what you are going through. Keep a positive attitude and don't let ANYONE tell you that you can't do something. You will be in our prayers.

Received some great news concerning Dave’s condition. He started some therapy/rehab yesterday and he is able to resist which is a great sign. They also sat Dave up in a chair so he could look outside. Dave loves the emails but, please keep it light and positive opposed to “Hey sorry this happened to you” Just a note to state you are thinking about him and his family.

He may be transferred to a Rehab facility by the end of the week.

Email address is health.line@hmc.halifax.org his name in the subject line.

Just spoke with Dave's wife Dana - They sat Dave up for about an hour he was able to raise his arm and could flick his nose. He will be going to Shepard's in Atlanta later this week.

Dave arrived at Shepard's this morning. He has feelings in his legs now and can move his legs with a lot of effort. So it appears that Dave in time will be back to his old self.
