Evan Richard was racing at Doublin Gap in Carlisle, PA. He was riding through the rhythm section when he lost control and went over the bars of his 85. Evan landed head first. His cycle then landed on the back of his head. Resulting in a terrible concussion. The accident occurred on Sunday, October 29.

Evan was flown to a nearby trauma hospital. He is home with his family now and expected to make a full recovery. He is not allowed any activities at all right now. When he can stand without being dizzy, then he can go back to school. I heard that there will be no riding or racing for six months.

I hope you heal up quick little man. Feel better soon !

Evan - sorry to hear about your get off. Take it easy during your recovery. I'm curious, were you wearing a mouthguard by any chance? Take a look at the BrainPad (they are one of the companies in our link section & in the product reviews), some riders swear by them for just that kind of crash. Let us know if you think it would have done any good in your situation.

Take care and get well!!
