I have been in contact with the family of Mike Garrison of Pleasant Hill, Missouri. He had a bad accident on August 31. He has suffererd a broken back and the prognosis does not look good. He has a spinal cord injury and is currently paralyzed from the chest down. He is an 18 years old student.

Update -

I have not heard from the Garrisons in a while, so I gave them a call last night. I spoke to Greg, Mike's dad. Mike is doing very well. He and his dad have become serious RC car racers and are heading down to Arizona for a national race in March. Mike is working hard in rehab and continues to make slow progress.
