View Full Version : Strength recover in ankles - for Dr Sanders

I took you advise and bought a balance board for building strength in badly sprained ankles (not at the same time).
I been using the board for 5 months now and feel good but I can still feel like I can do more.
What else can I do to prevent injuries and strengthen my ankles.

ANKLE REHAB: Also of great importance is stretching the heel cord. I reccommend using the calf raise machine in the gym in reverse to do a slow lengthening contracture of the heel cord until you feel it pulling in the calves.

There is almost nothing bad that can occur in the foot or ankle when the heel cord is supple. Best to do three sets of 12-15 every time you hit the gym.
