****Not sure where to post this on here...

HELP…with get well wishes and prayers...This weekend at Millville on Sat after the race my husband's cousins went back to the camp grounds had their cook out and then their two year (and one week) old daughter (sweet Amanda) lost her balance on the concrete slab the trailer was on and fell into the fire pit. :( She has 2nd degree burns on her left hand and arm up to her elbow and then on her left leg from lower shin to hip. Her left palm is by far the worse. Her dad reacted quickly enough before it was worse. They were taken to the hospital in Rochester, but they felt she should go to St. Paul to the burn care center. So off they went in another ambulance. She was released on Sunday afternoon.in time for her dad and mom to get to catch back up with their other two kids and friends to see the mud fest 2nd motos. She is in a lot of pain, but like any other two year very hard to keep down. She is slowly adjusting to not being able to use her left hand due to blisters and wraps and pain. The left hand they were concerned that it may require graphs...but so far so good. She goes back in a week to be re-evaluated to see what the next step is.

Here is a picture of her on Robbie’s bike at Red Bud

What a doll, I am so sorry to hear about her accident. Thank god her dad acted so quickly.

Thoughts and prayers will certainly go out from here for Amanda and her family.

What a cutie! I can definitely sympathize as I have twin 3 year olds and I know how I would feel. She's in our thoughts and prayers...

Cherie - that is so sad to hear! I am always paranoid about something like that happening to my kids. She is a very cute little girl - I hope she's doing OK with everything now. Our thoughts and prayers are with her.....

Take care,

BV

Cherie - how is Amanda doing? I hope all is well and the burns are healing up without too much scarring. Man, that kinda stuff scares me more than anything!

My prayers are with you and your family.... I do not know if anyone has told you about The Shriner's Hospital for Children??? I live in Reno, Nevada and the closest one on the West Coast for Burns is in Sacramento, California...

They are absolutely a God send... They pay the entire way for the Family and all of the Medical needed until that child walks out looking their absolute best.... I have seen before and after photos that will amaze you...

Please if you are interested, check into the Shriner's... The best way is to find your local town/city Shriner's and walk in and talk to them. They are fast acting and the outcome is absolutely unbelievable!!! You should not have to worry about where that money will come from in order to help your Sweet Little Amanda Baby Girl!!!

My daughter's name is Amanda also and she was hurt while Motocrossing in March 07. So I know the pain that the financial part plays into.... I found out about Shriner's from a friend of ours that their 3 year old was burned while playing around a campfire... These Hospitals are all over the U.S. and each one specializes in a different thing... Please contact them, even if it is for a second opinion...

Prayers, hugs and kisses are coming your way... With much love to you.. Sincerely, Mona
