David Kott, 41, has been a good neighbor and an active member of
the Stillwater community for over ten years. His entrepreneurial spirit led
him to open a small plumbing business and he supports the community
by employing local people. David is an avid bird watcher, and a remarkable example of a human living life consciously. Over the years, those of us who know Dave have watched and admired his unwavering spiritual growth and involvement in his Stillwater neighborhood.
He is also passionate about motocross.
However, on May 27th Dave fractured his neck during a motocross ride
and, as a result of this accident is now paralyzed from his chest down.
His life is forever changed.
Dave is currently receiving medical attention at the Mayo Clinic, where
he has stabilized physically. In August, he will be moving to the
Courage Center in Golden Valley where his six-month rehabilitation and
the adjustment to his new life will begin. His challenges will be many:
physical, emotional and financial. These tremendous challenges will
require all of Dave’s inner strength and courage. They will also require
the assistance, generosity and love of others to help him accept and
adjust to these new challenges in his life.
