We had a great time sat. night 8-5-06 at the supercross in Spokane Wa. I was so honored to present Cody Bristlin with the ARC angle gear bag. I first want to thank everyone at Extreme Motorsports for being so welcome to Riderdown.org. The people that run this track are AWESOME, they had me come up in the middle of their riders meeting to present this gift to Cody and all night there was not one person from that racing facilaty that did not thank me and Riderdown.org for this. Even the owner came up to me later and talked to me about Riderdown.org. I only hope this has opened up some more eyes to this great organization and it can continue to grow. Thank you Bruce ,Joe ,Amy and everyone else that made this possable for me to do for Cody. Cody, I want to thank you for being such a great young man,for all the other kids to look up. You and you family are such great people to have in this sport. Thank you all and I hope to see you Cody on the track again soon.

It's a great feeling to pack up those gear bags and know an injured child is going to have their day brightened. :awesome: It's a not so great feeling to know the recipient is getting the gear bag b/c they are injured. :sad: But at least we know they'll be smiling when they open it up and see all the cool stuff they got. :grin: A big thanks again to Rocky Mountain ATV*MC, Anti-Monkey Butt and all the other donors who are making these packages possible. !=!

not to mention the peoples hearts you touch by doing what ya'll do. All of us know folks who are hurt phsyically. You people touch the others that are attached to those folks. So your list is alittle short. You can't measure the amount of folks you helped. The emotion string is alot longer

I spend alot of time at the track. For the most part my son has been lucky as far as injuries go. A month is the longest that he has been down. Most of my time is spent with the 4-11 year olds. These kids train as hard and as often as the big boys. When one of them gets hurt it just breaks my heart !

The funny thing is about these kids. They are super tough ! I have not seen many tears shed because of pain. Only tears of frustration if they can't finish there race.

Dirtbike kids have the biggest hearts of any. I will continue to try and do what I can to bring a smile to these battered and bruised little soldiers. Thanks again for giving me the opportunity to be part of such a great Organization ! !=!

The RiderDown Foundation is only getting bigger and better. I can't wait to see where we are five years from now ! :cheers:

I noticed from the pictures that most of the riders here are all grown up. How do you guys feel about younger riders, do you take younger riders along with your group or is their an age requirement.

My Tandem group did a ride with Blind people as stokers a few years ago- but there were two Visually impaired riding solos.They could see- just about but they had a minder with them that kept them informed of what was coming up ahead. They could "Vaguely make out the road and kerb and other riders- but without those instructions coming from the minder----Car parked on right- Traffic lights at red- Junction coming in from Our left but would be your right They would have been in trouble. They did the ride successfully but also as a sighted rider- I learnt a lot from my stoker. Those instructions from the "Minder"- were exactly what I should have been giving to my Blind Stoker.

I think we should keep this thread going but it's gotten rather long and unwieldy so I'm going to start another thread that will be closed for comment but will be updated periodically with the names of new riders that RiderDown has helped. Thanks for all of your support, I know that without all of you RDF would never be able to accomplish so much!
