New Project to promote track safety

Check out this topic on KTMTalk. I'm starting a project to make a booklet to give to track owners to promote track safety. To show them what can happen when it's neglected. Tell them what we, as spectators, participants, and parents, see that needs to be done to improve track safety.

Thanks for bringing this thread to our attention. I was following the other one I believe this one spun off of but somehow I missed this one, the other members probably have been following though.

This is a big concern of ours too. We can't help but get involved with safety when you are dealing with the aftermath of all these accidents and serious injuries. We are trying to get in contact with other organizations that are specifically set up to help with this sort of thing but we are coming to the realization that it will have to become one of our main priorities there are just too many of these accidents that could have been avoided.

This can't wait! We need to force some action and focus attention on this subject now. Leslie - how is that pamphlet coming? There are many issues that track owners and promoters need to address. Sure it may cost them some $$'s in the short term but in the long run they will be definite winners by being pro-active. In fact - how's that for a name? Let's get some top pros involved in the campaign and start applying some pressure? RD's Pro-Active Track Safety Campaign. Anyone interested in a challenge?

I agree!!! We need to make this a high priority. We have a few awesome tracks working with us and we need to get this happening around the country.

We have to go to the start of this problem instead of dealing only with the outcome!
