I'm pleased to announce that in the 2010 season, Team RiderDown Foundation will be returning to tracks and trails across the USA.

Soon, we will be hand-picking up to 15 racers from across the country to help spread awareness of RDF. The goal is to get a mix of MX, enduro, desert, hare scramble, etc.

Team members will be selected for their ability to serve as upstanding members of the riding community and to represent the mission of the RiderDown Foundation. While these racers are on the tracks and trails and in to pits of America, they will serve as a face of RDF.

As they faithfully support the mission of the RiderDown Foundation over time, team riders will have access to support from RDF, MXSponsor.com (http://www.mxsponsor.com/), and STS Motorsports (http://www.sts-motorsports.com/). Thanks to these partners for their support of RDF's mission.

OK, folks, it's been a while coming but here's the deal. If you're interested, please reply below to all of the following pieces of information. We're looking to make a team of 10-12 riders nationwide. So, we probably can't accept everyone, be we want to get a wide variety of types of competitors.

It is much more important that you are an honest, responsible, and sportsmanlike member of the competition community than how many trophies you have. You must have read and understand the RiderDown Foundation's mission statement and feel that you can support it.

Please post a reply to each of the following.

How have you contributed to the sport?: Besides taking part in or organizing some benefit events, i am the promoter of the oldest series harescramble in Arkansas(Race of the Year 2009.) I have served as Treasurer, Vice President, and President of the nonprofit AHSCS racing series. I have represented RDF twice at the X Games and organized a benefit for RDF earlier this year. I am an above knee amputee and the only one of my kind regularly competing in X-Country racing.(I ride with no prosthesis) Needless to say, i get alot of attention while doing my thing and am very humbly aware of my place as a roll model and source of inspiration- to both the racing community and many disabled people around the world.

It would be my honor to be counted as part of the RDF Team.

Also, my son Reagen Tacker (age 15) races in the schoolboy class and is also interested, room permitting. He goes everywhere i go and often pimps an RDF shirt during the week. Everything i do, he is assisting.

AMA D36; MSR Western Regional Cross Country Series, MSR Northern California Championship Enduro Series , Best in the Desert (C Senior)

I've raced drag bikes, street bikes and dirt bikes for over 20 years. I am in my first year of competing in Hare Scrambles, enduros and desert racing. (40 seemed like a good time to start!)

I actively participate in keeping our trails open through trail maintenance, voting and attending advocacy meetings whenever possible. I teach new riders on both street and dirt bikes for safety, etiquette, and technique. I've been building and restoring bikes for 20 years in order to keep vintage machines up and running, safe and affordable to new riders. I've tried to promote RDF ever since I found out how you support riders and their families. I already promote RDF through my racing web page as well as when I am out racing or out on the trails.

Email is: heartlandpool04@yahoo.com

I race motorcycles...NEPG enduro, BJEC enduro and FMHS for 2011. I raced A Vet before injuries and a car wreck took me out in 08 & 09.

I currently race A Sr and have been competing in either off road or MX since 1986.

I have gone to the NEPG rounds as a Rider Down volunteer to help with RD awareness in 2010 and plan to expand to the BJEC and FMHS series in 2011 now that I seem to nearly healed. We also put together a local grass roots effort in 07 to help a badly injured local rider and and his family (wife was expecting new baby during Christmas holiday and they needed help).
