I’ve been wearing the Klim Revolt & the Moab pants for the last several years. I was an early adopter based on the reputation for quality that Klim had developed in the snowmobile world. I love both of these pants and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for new gear. They are comfortable, wear like iron and to me…look good without all the flashy design stuff and crazy colors you see with some gear. They are functional too and perform the way the were intended. The Moab pants have the perfect amount of ventilation in all the right spots. The Revolts are cool enough for most environments and when it gets colder outside I’ve thrown on a pair of longjohns and been perfect! The pockets are located where you’d want them to be and the zippers (both on the pockets and the crotch are high quality and have never failed me. I did have a problem with one of the button snaps on the waist of the Revolts when I very first got them but fortunately they came with a set of replacement snaps and I haven’t had a problem since.
These are both “over the boot” style pants but are not so baggy as to catch your kickstarter or footpegs and you don’t look like a gangsta while wearing them! I know that there have been some improvements made to the boot closure system in recent years that have made them even easier to get over the boot. My Revolt pants take a little coaxing but nothing too bad. Also, I do have a tiny burn/tear on the inside ankle area of the Revolts and I believe that Klim has since put a leather (or some type of protective) piece in that area to prevent such a problem. I patched mine up with some silicone a couple years ago and it’s held up well. I’ve crashed a few times in pretty rocky terrain and the material and stitching has all held up perfectly so far.
Sooner or later I’ll need a new pair of pants and I know what I’d buy if that day was today! Check out www.Klimusa.com
