In the Pacific Northwest we have a medical flight service called MedStar. You can purchase insurance for your entire family for $150.00 for 3 years. This is a one time payment of $150.00. This includes all accidents and illnesses that may need a medical flight. Your health insurance does not cover medical flight and if it does it will not cover the entire amount in most cases. This insurance negotiates with your company and will settle for the amount they will pay without costing you anymore out of pocket. This is pretty cheap insurance considering a flight can cost thousands of dollars out of pocket. They will also negotiate with other flight companies and have contracts so if you are out of your area and have an accident they will negotiate with these other companies and save you money.
