Hoyt Michael Penland: August 3, 1983 - July 23, 2009

Hoyt was a tremendous rider. It was in his blood. Sadly, Mike Penland has made a legacy that Hoyt will never fully realize. Hoyt was extremely talented. A quick google of Hoyt will litter your browser with his races and notoriety. Hoyt's family has suffered a huge loss. I hope everyone takes the time to support them and let them know that both they and Hoyt are in your thoughts and prayers.

This news came as quite a shock. I'm glad to have met Hoyt and wish we could have known each other longer and under different circumstances.

Godspeed Hoyt, may you Roost in Peace! My sympathies go out to Hoyt's dad Mike and the all the rest of Hoyt's family and friends.
