Hi Linda,
I can't imagine being in your shoes right now. It sounds like your husband has a very supportive wife.
Im glad you came here. There are alot of caring and knowledgeable people here that can help you.
Keep your chin up ! All you can do is take it one day at a time. Im sure you have already heard that more times than you can count !
I will pray for you and your family. Please keep us posted.

Thank you angie, but I do need to apologize in referance about Mike driving me bonkers! Now I truely realize all the stuff he does do at home that I have to do now, so now we know how much we really appreciate each other and our freinds! See ya Linda (taking out the garbage and recycables is really yucky!)

Yeah 1 more day until our next Dr. visit which will be about 6 1/2 weeks since his wreck and he thinks the doc is going to tell him he's ready for a marathon I DON'T THINK SO! He can barely make it up and down our steps let alown get in my truck! But on the brighter side yeah right I have also helped the aluminum man help rebuild our pan roof that blew off during hurricane Wilma and I have nicknamed myself Mrs. HS for Holeshot tires 'cause loaded and unloaded 8 tires and rims the other day so my adult kids could get ready to go race and the dummies at the tire store mounted them backwards my hubby informs me after I unload them ( ya Know they are a tad heavier with a rim and air in them ) anyway I'll keep you poster on the doc's visit Thanks for listening Linda

Linda,
I have a feeling with your dedication and outlook great things are coming your way.
You are a great role model for future "Minimoms". As far as the tires and the roof..... this is what sets "Minimoms" apart from the rest.... we believe anything men can do we can do too....
Good Luck at the Dr's...... tell your husband he better be a good patient... Or he will have all the women ganging up in him !!

Thanks for chatting with me Angie you have a real positive attitude that really is helping me right now!!!! Mike can start putting weight on his foot in 2 weeks and Dr. says he"ll know how much pain he can tolerate follow up visit in 6 weeks. But not to change the subject PLEASE read your so called insurance policies even if you have to use a magnify glass as I have been truely ripped off by prominent companies , example bike is covered but not Mike unless someone else hit him well for godness sakes he was racing with 300 other people so they say we can't pinpoint an exact person, etc. O.K. going back to bed see ya Linda

Hello all ! Just wanted to let everyone know Mike has graduated to using a cane but it still hurts I think he's pushing it a little to much! But we all know how stubborn men can be! No offense guys! We return to Dr. 6/7 and see how his femur is healing and when he"ll be released to go to work. I would like to make a special mention to David Wysong for calling , advising and really helping me and Mike out in this time of need between David (RiderDownOrg.)and the AMBR they are a real support team I commend them! To all the injured riders AND their families our thoughts and prayers are with you, get well soon!!!! Mike & Linda Head

Sounds like you have done a great job keeping a positive attitude. If you are anything like me.... You can put on a brave face until no one else is around. Thats ok !
Hang in there.... I can see the checkered flag from here !!!!!

Sorry we have not been in touch lately, so quick update, Mike's leg seems to be healing really well except that one looks longer than the other and he walks funny! He still can't catch me yet so I'm always messin' with him! That is for paybacks of going on 4 months of driving me CRAZY!!! But really thanks to your org. I do log on once in awhile and read about other's injuries whether small or heartbreaking we pray for each and everyone of you and your families for a speedy and full recovery! Anyway Happy Birthday America have a safe 4th of July!!! Linda & Mike
