I thought this would be a good way to start this new maintenance section.

This is a study of Motorcycle oils performed by an Independent lab. I do ask you two things;
One keep an open mind because Amsoil paid for the study (somebody had to) but it was performed by an independent lab and you will find that Amsoil doesn't finish in the top spot in all of these tests. Why would a company publish test results where their product isn't the top finisher? Synthetic oils are a compromise. You can add more of opne additive to perform well in one test but you will take away from hurt another additive thus hurting overall performance of the oil. Amsoil feels it has the best overall oil across the board. That fact will appear in the end of the test when each oil is graded on its results in each of the tests.
Two please do not skim the study if you do you will miss explainastions of each test and what result to look for from that test. Some results you want to be on the high end and some you want to be on the low end. Please take the time to read it completely and arm yourself with knowledge that will pay off in the long run for your motorcycle, cars, trucks or any other vehicle you maintain.

Motorcycle oil White Paper Study. (https://www.amsoil.com/lit/g2156.pdf) This is a printable version if you would like to print it out and read it away from the computer.

Great info Dane, Thanks. Also, awesome, awesome job getting the Amsoil discount set up. I'm going to bring in a copy to our office and make sure we use it for our trucks there.

Great Job!!! :thumb
