Jeremy seems like a great guy and really needs some of our best wishes and thoughts right now. He's been showing some good signs of regaining movement in the last couple days so he's headed in the right direction.
Jeremy was racing an arenacross race in Murfreesboro, TN. At the end of a whoop section his bike went sideways and kicked him off. Upon lifting his head to get up, his bike hit him on the head knocking him unconcious and breaking his neck.
After the accident, Jeremy could not mover or feel anything below his neck. Jeremy's C2 was shattered and needed replaced. C3-C5 were fractured and had to be pinned/fused together. Miraculously his spinal cord was not severed and is intact. Jeremy now has tubes draining the area around his lungs as well as in his lungs since the accident on the 17th of January. Currently, Jeremy is on a ventilator and heavily sedated to allow him to heal as well as possible without him trying to move.
Jeremy worked with Team Faith and has been a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes TN MX Team for the past three years. He is a strong individual with a heart of gold. He is a selfless loving person that puts everyone before himself. Jeremy attended all of the chapel services at each racing event that he attended. MX racing is his passion and if he could get back on a bike today... he would.
