This is just so sad, just makes you sick inside.

This is not the thread but we definitely have to get with the Brett Downey Organization and get active with the way some of these tracks are being run. What in the world are mini riders and big bikes doing riding at the same time.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Damon and his family,

The Frontiero's

My son and I went to visit Damon today. He is one tough little racer! He has a shattered collar bone, multiple broken ribs, lacerated spleen, lacerated liver, damaged kidney, one collapsed lung and one damaged lung. I am not sure if that is the complete list. Fortunately he should be able to keep all his organs. Evidently they will have to pin the collar bone, however the doctors are waiting on that until he stabilizes a bit. He woke up for a bit while we were there and tried to smile and wave. He is a really cute kid, even in a hospital bed loaded up with morphine. Damon does not remember the crash, just that he was having a good time riding. He is already wondering when he can ride again!!

His parents, Rich & Audra are very nice people. They seemed in good spirits although exhausted.

The other riders injured in the crash are all on the road to recovery. The boy with the broken femur had surgery and has been released from the hospital. One other rider shattered the top of his foot, and one rider was quite badly bruised. They have all been in to visit Damon.

As we live close we will head over to see him again soon.

Hello all,
This is the Fiore family
Sorry we took so long to write back but things were really rough .
First we would like to say thank you to everyone. We strongly feel that all your prayer's helped Damon alot. Damon is getting better and better every day, although he is still on bed rest. His lungs, liver, spleen and kidney are all healing very nicely, Considering the crash he took. His ribs and collar bone still hurt and need a full six to eight weeks of healing. We are all looking foward to seeing everybody at the track soon. Damon cannot wait to get back on his bikes . Thank you for the calls, cards and gifts Damon recieved, he loves them all!!

Thank you very much!
With Love,
The Fiore Family

I spoke with Damon's dad, Rich, this week. Damon is not only back on the bike, he won his qualifier for Lorettas. He will be racing at the Regionals in a couple of weeks.

This is one tough kid!!

Damon will recover 100% from his injuries. His family is very grateful for the thoughts and prayers of the motocross community.

We are proud of you, Damon!
