Brent Foltz..

Well this seems odd coming from me...having been injured seriously myself 3 weeks ago..but a fellow racer that races in the same series I do has fallen..

Brent Foltx was tragically killed earlier in the week in a car accident.

.Indiana Cross Country (IXCR) is running our last race of the season this weekend and will honor him this weekend...

Please say a prayer for his family, friends and all of of us that have been affected by this and a prayer for all riders injured this year and in years past..



We at IXCR are dedicating the last round, to honor one of are falling Indiana racers. This weekend race will be call the Brent Foltz Memorial race. I talked to a close friend of the family and he said that would be a great way to honor him and his family would greatly appreciate that. We will be making a donation to Rider Down Foundation in his behalf. There will be a collection at the race to add to this from other fellow Indiana racers.

Im so sorry to hear about the loss of your friend and fellow rider. The memorial race is a great way to honor his memory. Prayers sent from PA for all of Brents family and friends.

Sorry I didnt get an updated sooner...

The IXCR had the memorial race..and a friend of Breants rode his quad and was given the "honary holeshot" by the pro class..it was great for his family to see...alot of money was raised and will be donated to RDF on Brent's behalf

I see that Brent (along with my friend Ray Lang) was honored with one of 4 Glass Teardrops that were awarded at this years GNCC Banquet.

"The GNCC Series also presented glass tear drops in memory of four members of the racing community lost in 2008. Golden Masters (58+) bike racer Dick Sirmons, College A ATV Racer Brent Foltz, Pat Sheppard, a race organizer and mother of a family of racers, and Ray Lang, who lost his life at the AMA Amateur Motocross Nationals at Loretta Lynn's."

Here are some pictures from the day of the race..Brent's best friend wore his gear and Brent's parents allowed him to use Brents quad..He ran 1 lap of the race..the Pro's let him have the "honarary" holeshot...

So the the spirit of Breant could lead the pack into the furst turn...it was a very emotional day for all of us and his family as well
