"Becoming An ARC Angel"
By Angela Koch

If you have a child, a loved one or just a friend who is a fellow rider then The RiderDown Foundation should be a household name. I just so happen to fall into this category. My eight year old son Ethan has been racing since he was four years old. Ethan is the driving force behind my becoming an "ARC Angel". We all would like to believe that in this sport nothing bad will ever happen to our children. The question is not "if". The question is "when".

On February 18, 2006 at Motorama in Harrisburg, PA I had the pleasure of meeting Jordan Moyer, an injured rider. I presented him with an ARC Angel Gift Bag from RiderDown and the wonderful people at Rocky Mountain ATV*MC. Not only did Jordan break both of his wrists, he did so two days before his sixteenth birthday. The reaction I got from Jordan was one of astonishment. These kids eat, breathe and live to ride. For them to receive a gift such as the ARC Angel Gift Bag because they had a bad get off, well, it pretty much renders them speechless. They love knowing that there is someone out there pulling for them to get back to the sport that we all love and enjoy.

I am a wife, a mother, a friend and now I am a full fledged "ARC Angel". I always say that good karma comes to those who do selfless acts of kindness for others. Thanks to the RiderDown Foundation I have been blessed with the opportunity to bring a smile to the face of an injured child and have been welcomed with open arms into the RiderDown Family!

Please visit our website and find out how you too can become a RiderDown Angel and the many other ways that you can help this wonderful organization. You can visit us at WWW.RIDERDOWN.ORG. I truly hope that you will join us in "Helping Riders Up".

The RiderDown Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping off road motorcyclists who have been injured while riding. Proceeds are used to provide assistance to the riders and their families when faced with medical expenses and related issues.
