So, the adventure ride scene is really starting to catch on here in the N.E. It's a little tough because we're a congested part of the country, but I see more and more guys on KTM 9-- and BMW GS's that are actually DIRTY than I've seen before.

The Connecticut Ramblers club sponsored this ride along with a turkey run on the same day. My 450 was still in serious need of maintenance from the enduro in Maine so I chose to take out the 950.

I rode alone and had a blast. It was kind of funny that I was out there...all casual-like - jeans, hiking boots, and listening to my iPod - and other guys were in full dirt-bike gear for a ride that was mostly tar. The course was about 120 miles in northeast CT and I'd say about 40% of that was on dirt. There were two "hero sections" that were fun and a little more challenging.

So, not technically a Team RDF event as this was purely noncompetetive, but I'm running the colors on the front fender.

When's the last time you saw ROOST like that and big goofy panniers in the same picture????

Nice work Tony! :thumb I think the ADV type crowd is gaining momentum everywhere even though I haven't jumped in the pool yet. While my 525 is plated it's only mission on street is to get me to the next stretch of trail when necessary.

That's a great pic of you roosting the Zook! Those are huge suitcases you're hauling around - do you fill those with weights for extra traction? :D

Those are the stock bags that came with the bike. KTM doesn't give those away anymore now that the bike is getting a little more popular. They are huge and very, very wide. A couple times I thought I was going to have to take them off, ride through a tight spot, then put them back on...:lmao

They were perfect for the cross-country ride, though. They hold a ton of stuff. They are even twin-walled and you can store water or gas in between the walls - if you look close at the front, bottom, center of the bags you'll see two silver screws. That's where you can, supposedly, install a petc.o.c.k. to send fuel to the existing fuel lines.

Had to edit because the forum software didn't like the word "pet****"
