The weather was perfect and the club did a great job laying out the course for this run. This is always one of the most favorite enduros of the Netra series because it always has a great mix of terrain with nothing at that ridiculous level of difficulty like a few other runs have.
This year they started us off in the grass track area that is typically in the middle of the run. Kind of cool - almost like a GNCC start because you could see riders all over the field all at once (that doesn't usually happen in enduros).

I was having a blast and putting up scores that would have ended up around third place until I crashed hard just before gas. Thought that I'd broken a femur but turned out just to be a VERY severely bruised thigh, knee, ankle, and foot. Three weeks later and the hematoma on my thigh is still not quite gone. I dented an outer fork tube in the process, causing the forks to bind and also ruined a new set of RDF shroud graphics.
If you've got a strong stomach, you can see what my leg looked like HERE (http://picasaweb.google.com/tonygasper/2008KPTREnduro/photo#5208212783566913330).
So, no points for me at this one. It is fortunate that there is a pretty big break in the series right now and by missing the ride on this Sunday, I'll be afforded a total of 8 weeks to get myself and the bike back in shape.
