EVS Evolution

What do we know about the EVS evolution collar? Appearances would say that it is a competitor for the Leatt for half of the price.

From What I've read it was developed along the same lines as the Leat brace.
Alot of input from the medical community. I think I read that it is alot more adjustable than the Leat for accomadating different size riders. I haven't seen any technical data yet but I will look into this more. The bad thing about these types of protection is it takes real world testing to truly see if they make a difference. I don't care anything about doing this type of testing or atleast not on purpose. It will take some time for this information to be compiled and brought to light. I think Leat actually collects information from riders that have crashed and took a hit to the head. I would hope EVS will do the same. How else would they know if there product really provided any protection.

EVS makes some great products. At this point it's premature for us to come up with any valid side by side comparisons between the EVO & the Leatt. I've heard various comments on the street but nothing worth repeating. The Alpinestars brace is due out later this summer also. The good news is that spinal cord injuries are finally being addressed and as more products come on board hopefully we will see the incidence of these injuries decrease.

I'm sure that we'll get lot's of feedback in the relatively near future!

i had neck surgery about 9 years ago.i crashed my bike on the mx track and woods racing alot in the last two years.i`ve been using evs neck donut.i feel like it prevented
some injuries,including collar bone,whip lash,and some compression.
my neck is long.i feel like i need more protection than folks w/o necks.:D
i ordered a RC brace after winning a 50% off award certificate at a ky haresrcamble.:roost:

i hope i works good with my cheap helment and ARC chest protecter.
i`m 48 years old.they say i look like star wars robot when i get all my gear on.:lmao
